Bill Frisell: All We Are Saying…
The relationship between Bill Frisell and Normal Life Pictures continues to grow. Most recently, we produced an EPK for his John Lennon project, entitled “All We Are Saying…”, and slated for release by Savoy on September 27, 2011. The record covers a broad range of Lennon’s career, and features Greg Leisz (slide guitar), Jenny Scheinman (violin), Tony Scherr (bass), and Kenny Wollesen (drums).
Sophie Milman: In the Moonlight
World-class jazz vocalist Sophie Milman takes it to a new level with a brand-new album produced by Matt Pierson, and featuring jazz masters Randy Brecker, Julian Lage, Gregoire Maret, Larry Grenadier, Chris Potter, Lewis Nash, and many more. The album, entitled “In the Moonlight”, is a broad collection that showcases many different sides of Sophie’s personality, and is slated for release by eOne Music on September 27, 2011.
Red Hot + Rio 2: José Gonzalez
Normal Life Pictures is proud to have contributed to the Red Hot Organization’s “Red Hot + Rio 2″ campaign. In this video, José Gonzalez and Mia Doi Todd perform their track from the album at a loft party thrown in advance of the record’s release. All proceeds from the album sale go to combat AIDS.
